The Blades are Terry’s Design that work great in high or low winds. The Blades power a Ametek 50.

I did modify the piviot to accept roller berrings

My Grandfather’s Windmill
Art Hughes Built this GIANT windmill
years ago, It has not operated in years
although It was the most powerful windmill I had ever seen.
It is 50 feet tall and 6 feet across.
My Grand father is the master of using what materials are avaible to him, The windmill is made of 55 gallon barrels, The gearing system was made from a old truck rearend, along with a disk break breaking system to stop this monster. In my eyes this windmill is truly a work of “Art”.
This also is a windmill my grandfather built it was used for pumping water.
This is a design that I found to be a great idea It is simple and Powerful
